Multitasking myths
"Don't multitask. Work on one task at a time. Multitasking is a myth, and trying to do it only splits your focus."
I've argued this point with my wife for years. The brain can only focus on one thing at a time. We may have many tasks that demand our attention, but the only way to be successful is to prioritize those demands so that we attempt to accomplish the most important item first, then the second, then the third. We may have to re-prioritize often as new items arise for us to deal with, but we must focus our attention on one important item at a time.
